State of the Alliance 2024

This year has been pivotal in strengthening the impact of the Bay Area Global Health Alliance as a trusted neutral convener, catalyst, and connector. We are proud to champion our members and help transform how diverse sectors collaborate to address the complex global health challenges of our time.

We connect diverse sectors, experts, and resources to catalyze global health innovation and equity.

Our 90+ member organizations are world-class academic institutions, innovative technology and private sector companies, start-ups, foundations, public sector institutions, and experienced nonprofits caring for the world’s most marginalized populations. With roots in the Bay Area, the Alliance has expanded to include organizations from across the United States and the world.

AI and Global Health Discussion Series

The Alliance has been hosting a four-part Discussion Series on AI and Global Health, designed to profile a range of use cases to highlight how Alliance members and partners are augmenting their efforts through this rapidly evolving technology. Join us on December 3 for our next discussion “Smart Health, Smart Choices: Leveraging AI for Behavior Change in Global Health.”

With thanks to Pfizer as lead sponsor of the 2024 AI and Global Health Discussion Series.

New Report on Narrowing the Know-Do Gap, Exploring the Intersection of Implementation Science and Health Equity

The Alliance’s insights report, Implementing for Health Equity: Narrowing the Know-Do Gap, aims to illuminate the barriers that prevent the effective implementation of promising public health interventions and crystallize a vision to bridge the evidence-to-practice gap and enhance health equity.

Advancing Global Health Innovation and Equity Together

The Bay Area Global Health Alliance serves as a neutral convener and catalyst, communicator, and connector, brokering multi-sector collaborations and engaging the tech sector alongside traditional global health stakeholders.

By leveraging the Bay Area’s rich resources and diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem, we have helped advance global health innovation and equity by building a trusted multidisciplinary network of global health leaders and experts, fostering connections and collaboration, producing convenings and insightful communications, and forging strategic partnerships.
